Forensic Evaluation and Treatment Services (FETS) provides sex offense specific treatment and evaluations to people who have been convicted of a sexual offense. The founder, Dr. Gary Reser, is a Sex Offense Management Board (SOMB) approved provider, evaluator, and supervisor since 2006. He volunteers his time for the SOMB and sits on the SOMB Best Practices Committee.

Our Work

We provide specialized treatment across Colorado.

FETS offers specialized treatment across Colorado’s Northern Front Range, with offices in Denver, Boulder, Longmont, Greeley, and Ft. Lupton. FETS currently serves over 200 clients referred from Probation, Parole, and Community Corrections. We employ six therapists plus interns. We have two victim representatives on staff as well.

Our treatment modalities are primarily cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) following Risk, Need, Responsivity principles. We incorporate the Good Lives Model and Self Regulation concepts within our therapeutic framework. Our treatment modalities are evidenced based and/or are contemporary research-based interventions. All our treatment is guided by proprietary treatment manuals. A client’s progress can be easily tracked with minimal ambiguity.

Our Philosophy

FETS staff is committed to treating you with respect and honoring your inherit dignity.

We will never demean or shame our clients. Our hope is that clients will connect with some of the treatment topics to become a person living a life that is incompatible with any future sexual abuse.

We approach our work by acknowledging…

1. A person has harmed another person, the community, and themselves.

2. There is a reason for the person’s behavior; i.e, one’s behavior was not arbitrary or random.

3. People are capable of change, including the possibility to transform their lives.

4. Therapy and Supervision facilitate change and transformation.
